A woman of many names

Kari Cruz is a well versed media & entertainment professional, an accomplished publicist, writer, proud latina and eternal b-girl at heart. Born in New York City and raised in both the Bronx and Mt.Vernon, Kari was immersed in the vibrancy, flavor, legacy, and culture of each city. Between part-time employment and her college studies, Kari began her career interning for MTV and the Food Network. The rest of that chapter is history, as she soon followed this success by landing a role as an assistant fashion stylist at Italian Grazia and Flair magazines. Still hungry for new challenges, Kari began a post-grad career in TV Production, having worked on reality based television for prestigious television networks HGTV, TLC and The Style Network. Down the road, she capitalized on her well rounded set of experiences by scoring an in-house postion on the public relations team at fuse TV and later at adidas, where she would handle Public Relations for all sport performance categories, adidas US basketball, adidas Remix and the highly esteemed adidas by Stella McCartney collections.

 

On the marketing front, Kari translated her eclectic roots in fashion, music and PR  into a production management & marketing role with Exposure Communications, a New York City agency in downtown Manhattan. Kari was responsible for handling print and event production for clients like Nike, Zune-Microsoft, Fred Perry, CASIO G-Shock, Nice Collective, Tommy Guns Salon, PlayStation, Dr.Martens and CITY Magazine.

 

In 2009 Kari began managing Public Relations and Marketing for the premier trend-lifestyle brand UNDRCRWN - where she nurtured artist relationships with brand collaborators Mos Def, Asher Roth and ?uest Love. Kari is currently specializing in interactive media and provides creative consultation for many big name athletic and lifestyle brands.
