Under Alessandro Michele's helm, the creative director continues to mold the image of Gucci with the "4 Rooms" art project. With the help of artists Mr. Daita Manabe, Chiharu Shiota and GucciGhost, AKA Trouble Andrew, the project aims to create real and virtual spaces as the artists own interpretations of the Italian luxury house.
Mr.’s “Garden Room” focuses on the plants and animals used in Gucci collections, Daito Manabe’s “Words Room” is based on the brand’s terminology, and Chiharu Shiota’s “Herbarium Room” is inspired by the brand’s trademarked pattern of the same name. The fourth, realized by GucciGhost, is based on his own collaboration.
The project is on display to the public from October 12 to Novebmer 27 (or October 24 at Dover Street Market Ginza), but anyone not able to visit the exhibitions in Tokyo can explore the simulated “4 Rooms” online.
