Excuse me while I make up for lost time (ahem: Fashion Week Fatigue)...
Well, let's get straight to the point. Rihanna's always going to deliver when it comes to her personal style- and that's very clear in her Fenty x Puma collaborative collection. Let's call it a "street-goth" meets "sporty-vixen" lane. The ability to blend street style, club kid fashion and 90s silhouettes is a winning formula for the pop star. What I especially love is that Rihanna's never been afraid to ever blend high-low fashion throughout her own wardrobe, which makes for a very believable collaborative partnership (and that is refreshing!).
The blend of "sporty" and "sexy" offers up a little it for every gal. Her influences are said to include Japanese street culture (as spotted in the kimono-style robes) and sportswear (like the track suits, boxing shorts, jersey styles, etc.) “It’s Japanese street culture with a haunting twist. I played with texture and silhouettes and all of the fabrics are luxurious. I reinterpreted the traditional in my way,” said Rihanna.
The heeled boots (which remind us of those famous Manolo Blahnik's) and over-the-knee boots are a more femme focused addition to the line of creepers, slides and trainers that round out the footwear collection. You can expect to see a majority of these pieces hitting retail in September 2016.
