Russell Westbrook is no stranger to the spotlight, the self-proclaimed “fahsion king” likes to make an entrance no matter where he is. Rocking an En Noir Flannel, Fear of God tee-shirt and Kith pants - the star finished off the look with a Sandro jacket and a pair of Saint Laurent sneakers.
His grungy style was further enhanced by sporting frayed denim on denim and a graphic Nirvana tee. Long live Seattle! (Maybe his time on the Supersonics inspired this? LOL). The look was topped off with a Supreme hat and gold chain.
How do you rank these "elevated streetwear" looks?
Oh D.Wade... There is so much happening here! The Miami Heat star stayed warm by layering a lush fur parka (Dsquared2) over an M65 Jacket and shirt by Underground Visionaries. The cream colored pants (Neil Barrett) and charcoal hat (Del Toro) helped complete the neutral-friendly palette. The oversized bag comes your way courtesy of Hook and Albert and the glasses are vintage. Doesn't this look channel '70s soul record covers (or pimps)? Especially with the hat and glasses! Next level stunting, for sure.
Speaking of fur... this was perhaps the biggest (and most necessary) trend of All Star Weekend. Chris Paul delivered on a polished winter look in a $300 Krammer & Stoudt double-breasted coat, Phillip Lim fur stole, and $130 Goorin Bros Hat.
Chris Bosh went for a neat monochrome look in a navy double-breasted wool coat, fur scarf, leather duffle bag and boots.
And then we have Draymond Green in a coat by Vick Michel... maybe not the best, but I do love the electric yellow moto jacket he wore later during the Dunk Contest! It proves that he has fun with his wardrobe and he's completely confident with himself. And that matters!
Stephen Curry also jumped in on the trend with a $5195 Musika Frere mink lapel lined bomber jacket. What's up with those glasses tho, Steph?
An over-the-top work looks if you have the guts and confidence to pull it off, and sometimes.... it's just uncomfortable to look at. Which brings me to Andrew Wiggins. He'a a nice guy, a Toronto local hero and he's got lofty style goals. But just because something is expensive... that doesn't mean it works. For instance, this Giuseppe Zanotti Metallic Python Biker Jacket (SS16) ... the styling doesn't look natural, and that is SO important when you're shaping your image! Things however improved with his more casual looks. His long/lean physique caters to slim cuts as seen with his pink silk bomber and Dolce & Gabbana Crewneck Sweater (although I wish he'd lose that Hermès belt and Saint Laurent boots!)
Karl-Anthony Towns offered up a stylish and contemporary look. This young wolf balances out his insane height with styles that feel more natural (and that is SO refreshing).
KAT wore a grey hoodie under a green and black OFF-WHITE Printed Back Check Shirt during the dunk contest. He was also spotted during ASW in a limited edition carbon camo Canada Goose parka made exclusively for the players. The jacket envy is real, y'all.
Good Tailoring can make just about anything work, and that happens to be the case with Paul George's 1980s-style B-Boy track outfit. The perfectly trim cuts clean up this casual getup.
Then there's the jackets that went all the way wrong.... John Wall, Andre Drummond and Ant Davis in customs by Jhonna Alba. And then there's Drake... just being Drake.
