We've officially hit mid-march (And my college- hoops schedule is about to be insane). As we spring forward into a new fashion season, let's review what is happening in the land of sunshine... unless you're from Portland, then you have no clue what sunshine is. Pictured above is the L.A. Lakers fashion duo D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson rocking the "I know I was born in '92, but....I claim to know every Tupac song ever" trend. Do you think these two shop at the same store? I kid (partially)...but back in '92 when those tees were poppin,' you got clowned if you rocked a matching outfit with your homie.
All jokes aside, Jordan Clarkson is hitting the mark on street-style. Clarkson has been seen rocking several pieces from the Virgil Abloh OFF-WHITE line. Here, Jordan is rocking the $764 OFF-WHITE Logo-Print Varsity Jacket, with grey shorts, leggings and black Vans. In the second look, he layers up different shades of denim with a pair of Air Jordans.
D’Angelo Russell (Los Angeles Lakers) who is quickly becoming one of my favorite young guys to watch also has a pretty good sense of his personal style. I like how he plays with high-low looks and rocks pieces that are not strictly 'trending.' This Diesel Camo Jacket ($470) is a great rugged piece which he layered over a clean cream colored knit. D'Angelo finishes off the look with a pair of ripped jeans and Air Jordan's.
Ed Davis of the Portland Trail Blazers goes deceivingly casual in a G-Star coat, Givenchy Top, Saint Laurent Denim and a sweet pair of Saint Laurent Camo-Print fringe hi-tops. The calf suede kicks retail for $795.
Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers stays true to his adidas-friendly collaborators with a Y-3 tee and a pair of Rick Owens DRKSHDW 'Cyclops' hi-tops.
And lastly, our Golden Boy. Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors) has been inching his way towards trend-forward apparel, and we like it. Nothing too crazy, just a more sophisticated tier to his wardrobe. The top is from (W)oven (C)ut (S)ewn (P)erfection and was paired with Saint Laurent Destroyed Stretch Denim Jeans ($890). Steph finished the look with a pair of blue leather Fendi hi-tops.
