While the Oscar Award is one coveted little statue, our eyes were peeled for Oscar De La Renta! It is no secret that we love tuning in to the Academy Awards for the fashion! Who wore the best dress and who looked a hot mess? What were the must-have style trends? Who made the best looking gowns? Well, get the scoop below!

The biggest trend seemed to be GOLD- whether it came in satin or sparkles, many of this evenings gowns featured stunning gold details. Oscar Winner, Sandra Bullock, wore a head-to-toe gold Marchesa gown with bright red lipstick. A very similar look was also spotted on Cameron Diaz who was seen wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown featuring champagne tulle, metallic ribbon and gold embroidery from the fashion house’s Fall 2010 collection. Sarah Jessica Parker wore Fred Leighton Jewelry and a pastel Chanel Couture gown with beautiful cuts and plunges on the neckline. Also seen wearing a champagne colored dress was Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham.

Demi Moore looked fab in a silk organza Atelier Versace gown. She chose to keep it neutral with a blush tone dress and gold Ferragamo leather envelope clutch. Jenifer Lopez wore and Armani Prive design in pale pink and accessorized with Cartier diamonds and Ferragamo satin pumps.

And while we love Zoe Saldana (and 80% of her Givenchy dress) - the sparkly top was a bit distracting. We do however adore the rich shades of purple she wore & the way it complimented her gorgeous skin.

One look that won us over was definitely the Elie Saab Haute Couture strapless gown worn by Rachel McAdams! The dress was made with panels of organza, mousseline and featured a sweetheart neckline & hand pleated bodice. She seemed to combine all of the color trends and styles into one cohesive look. Although the gown was a print- it contained delicate shades of pinks, blues and greens. We love this!

Heading in a totally different direction was Tina Fey, Mariah Carey and Nicole Richie who all wore dark dresses. Fey upped the ante in a sparkly Michael Kors gown and Jimmy Choo pumps, but Mariah looked a little matronly (she just can't find a middle ground!). Richie looked great in Reem Acra and shoes by Bally. Mo'Nique, who won an Oscar for "Best Supporting Actress" in Precious, wore a blue dress and Jimmy Choo ‘Clue’ platform sandals.  Also in blue was fellow Precious Cast-mate Gabourey Sidibe in Marchesa. Stunning as always, was the ever-so-lovely Mariska Hargitay in a navy Vera Wang gown and jewelry by Fred Leighton

Kate Moss for Longchamp + Sarah Jessica Parker for Halston?

I'm the first to admit when I think a celebrity line is awesome- but for the most part I think that assigning the role of "creative director" or "designer" to these celebs is undeserved. The truth is, they usually have someone walking them through the design process and executing the labor for them. And maybe it's just me, but I think it is unfair to all the true 'designers' and people who work extra hard behind the scenes to make cool shit. But who cares about all that stuff, right?

At a time when even Lady Gaga is appointed the role of Creative Director for Polaroid, it is no surprise that Kate Moss will be designing a signature line for Longchamp. However, what most people don't know is that this line of handbags for Longchamp will be overseen by the brand’s artistic director Sophie Delafontaine. If that isn't enough, Sarah Jessica Parker is also on the way to taking on a creative director role at Halston heritage. Hm, it suddenly makes you wonder why she's wearing a white Halston Heritage dress on the set of Sex and the City 2 and in the official movie trailer....

Oh, fashion- you are so fickle but we love you anyway.

Spread 'Em: Rihanna for GQ Magazine

Not only has Rih-Rih been attempting to market herself as a badass, but she's also gone down the 'I'm only going to appear half naked anytime I'm in public' route. Yes, she's very pretty and her body is amazing... but I don't want to see her flesh at all times. Considering that she didn't sell nearly as many albums as forecasted- she may want to consider tweaking the new image. (Shoutout to Susan Boyle! She's KILLING the game with clothing on)

In any case- here are the images. Enjoy!

Halloween Wrap-Up: Obamas + Christina Aguilera + Gwen + Khloe Kardashian & More!

Happy Monday! If you were in NYC over the weekend, then you know that this city goes crazy over Halloween. So much, that there is even an annual parade that takes place downtown. The parade is usually a lovely place to go if you want to spot some outrageous costumes but the rain this year was a bit of a downer. Can you guess what I was? And yes, that is all purely handmade.

But, I wasn't the only one out celebrating... celebs were in costume too! Here are a few shots of some of your fave people:
