Art On The Street: Mister12Gage "Paste Yo Face" Project

"I've always thought it was strange to see large images of celebrities, models and news anchors on walls, billboards, and buses. I've wondered why these people are adorning our walls and public spaces instead of the individuals that make up our community. This project serves as a physical representation of the city of Portland through drawings of it's inhabitants.

Everyone pictured is completely unknowing and chosen at random. Whether your reaction is positive or negative, please let me know by clicking the "Submit" button at the top of the page or emailing me at pasteyoface@gmail.com. I'd like to hear your initial reaction, as well as what you think now that you know what this is all about.

I'm sorry or you're welcome, depending on how you feel about this."... Mister12Gage

WATCH: "UP THERE" Documentary [Video]

I am fascinated by all sorts of subcultures- especially when they tie back to art.

You ever wonder who creates those amazing murals like the once-iconic DKNY wall in SoHo NYC?

Watch this video & learn about a group of men who have dedicated their lives working on commercial street art (hand painted advertisements), and the challenges they've faced with the introduction of VINYL.

Henk Hofstra's Invasion of the Ants

About 500 red ants are spread in the city of Drachten, The Netherlands. Most of them came together in front of the theatre De Lawei, to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Each ant is three meters in length and two meters wide. The ants on the building are from synthetic material.
